About MCwords, 18th Dec 1998

The main purpose behind the MCwords site is for it to be a placeholder for all of the writing activities of the MCwords, and morespecifically, the MCslp, team. Since the release of MC's first book, BeOS: Porting Unix Applications there has been a need for a site that contains updates, errata and other information. When other books and other writing projects mushroomed it was obvious a more permanent and structured site was required.

Most of the stuff you will find here is directly related to MCslp writing efforts. This includes any updated information about the book (including errors, fixes, bugs etc.) and downloadable versions of any material supplied on the CD-ROMs that accompany many of the books.

In addition, the future plan is to have more wide-ranging information on this site, including details on how books of all types are written, the processes, who is involved, and the timescales involved from the point of conception to the point at which the book appears on the shelves.

MCwords also has some associations with other websites, you can find out more information on the Associations page. MCwords is also a member of the Amazon.com Associates program, of which there is more information available here.

There is also some background information on the people that make up the MCwords team.

If you have any suggestions, ideas, or thoughts on the content of the site, then please take the time to pass it on to the MCwords team using the various forms provided on our Contact page.
