In an increasingly digital world, it's almost impossible to get by without email. However, somehow the quantity of email increases exponentially the longer you've had an email address. To help you work through and manage your email this chapter examines the methods for sending, receiving, summarizing and filtering your email using Perl. For systems administrators, a script is included that will summarize the list of messages in your sendmail queue much more effectively than than the usual mailq program.
