This section of the site is devoted to the background and support information on the books from the MCwords team. You will also find our recommendation center here, with details on many of the books we use when programming, computing and consulting.

Here you will find a variety of articles, both those published, unpublished, and simply my ideas and thoughts put on paper into a formal format. Not everything here will be to everybodies liking, but you might find the odd snippet of iformation that is interesting.

I often find that a number of reviews for different products seem unduly biased for, or against the product - often because the product is tested in days, or hours, rather than the weeks, or even months that people should test the products for.
It's impossible for you to make a reasoned decision on a product that you will have to live with, and spend money on, for the rest of it's useful if the opinion expressed is the equivalent of a brief glance. I therefore plan to review products that I have been using for some time, weeks, months, perhaps even years and give you all of the real good and bad points over that period.
